What makes Mirai Clinical products different from regular soaps or body washes?

How is your persimmon soap different from other persimmon soaps on the market?

Persimmons are naturally rich in tannins, which bind to and neutralize odor compounds. The higher the tannin concentration, the stronger the deodorizing effect. We use highly concentrated Japanese persimmon tannin extract, clinically shown to reduce nonenal by up to 97% — tested at our exclusive partner lab in Japan. As of 2026, our lab remains the only facility in the world producing true deodorizing persimmon extract. Other brands may claim to use persimmon, but they typically use standard persimmon juice, which contains only 0.9% tannins — far less effective than our purified formula.

 What is Nonenal aging odor?

As we age, the skin’s natural antioxidants decline, which leads to the production of nonenal. Nonenal is formed when skin lipids oxidize, especially on areas like the back of the ears, back of the neck, scalp, and chest. It has a distinct “greasy,” “musty,” or sometimes slightly “fatty” smell that does not wash off easily. Unlike sweat-based odor, which comes from bacteria, nonenal is created by chemical changes in the skin itself. Because of this, regular soaps and body washes are often not strong enough to break it down or remove it completely.

Are your products safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. Our formulas are made without sulfates, synthetic fragrances, or harsh chemicals that often irritate sensitive skin. Instead, we use gentle botanical ingredients like Japanese persimmon tannin extract and green tea to cleanse and purify without stripping the skin’s natural barrier.  Should I use the soap bar or the body wash, or both?

You can use whichever you prefer. Both the Deodorizing Soap Bar and the Purifying Body Wash offer the same deodorizing power, so there’s no need to use both unless you want to. It simply comes down to your texture and format preference.
